    Yawn I alsmot forgot Jones never won a title in his life ..

    Funny Jones wasn't facing the Mario Veits or Kabary Salems the world or Nicky Pipers or Darren Zenners of the boxing world!

    How quickly you forget that neither of the 2's resume even comes close to Jones ! Again Failey you get owned with your own arguements!:hi:

    I have no doubts Roy wins, and I like DM, but DM would have landed and done damage. DM was tough, had a good jab, could take a punch and punch himself. I think Roy was legit scared about fighting him. Look at the shitty comp Roy was fighting! But hey, what do I know? Just an opinion.

    P.S. It was sad fans did not get this fight. Really sad. It was my dream fight at 175 to watch at the time.

    Who had the paper belt? Jones dummy

    Dariusz won WBA & IBF titles that were wrongly stripped from him as well as having the WBO belt. He was WBO WBA IBF LHW champ and beat the WBC Champ who was wrongly stripped that Jones didnt fight. Also DM beat the man to be the man (Hill), Jones only fought him after DM beat him.
    Dariusz was champ, Jones was defending paper titles

    Funny I recall the same thing about Jones in Germany, though I do recall HBO saying DM was willing to go to the U.S.

    Bailey,

    No they weren't watched by a worldwide audience at all. They were watched by a German audience.

    Of course Kelly and Frazier weren't as good as Ottke and DM. But that's not the point is it? Roy fought on HBO, and the American audience tuned in to see him fight whoever.

    Nobody in the States had seen Ottke or DM. I didn't say they didn't know DM, everybody knew of him, because he had the only title that Roy didn't have, but they hadn't seen him fight much. Do you think Ottke's fights would have been televised on a regular basis in the U.S.? You're kidding yourself! It's the same with Joe. The U.S. fans had only seen him fight a handful of times before he fought Lacy.

    I haven't contradicted myself at all. Boxing in europe has come along way in the last ten years. But before the K Brothers were champions, they had to fight in America. Lewis vs Vitali would never have been held in Germany. The big huge fights are all held in the U.S. casinos. You've got no argument. Just have a look at all the huge fights over the years.

    Saunerland would not have paid Roy a huge amount of money to fight in Germany ten years ago.

    Again you're living in a fantasy. if you think that DM vs Roch, and Ottke vs Mitchell, were big events outside of europe at the time.

    Show you where DM backed out? I've got no substance? What the hell are you talking about?

    DID DM GO TO THE U.S.? NO HE DIDN'T DID HE?

    What more proof do you need?

    HBO offered him the chance to go and fight in the U.S. and he turned them down twice. So that tells me that he didn't want the fight.

    What's the size of the German crowd got to do with anything? It's nothing to do with the crowd in the venue. It's about the money generated through promotion and PPV. They'd have been more money involved for everyone, if the fight had've happened in America.

    If Floyd and Manny ever get it on, the fight will more than likely be held in a Vegas casino holding only around 16,000.

    Why do keep saying DM was willing? You keep asking me for links and sources etc? Again, he didn't go did he? Same as my argument with you, regarding Joe. Don't look at what people said. Look at what happened, and what they did and didn't do. You're asking me to prove to you that DM wasn't bothered about fighting in the U.S. Ha! Again, he didn't go! There's your proof!

    Stop embarrassing yourself in front of the other posters by saying that you've schooled me. You can't school me my friend.

    I know that DM had a right to all of Roy's belts. I don't know why you keep bringing this up. I've never disputed it, not once. But the injustice he suffered should have made him more determined to fight Roy, don't you think?

    Why didn't Roy travel? Why didn't DM? Roy's fingers had been burnt in Seoul, and some of the judging in Germany at the time was disgraceful. Roy had all the major belts (again DM had a right to them) and DM had the WBO belt. Roy was considered the best fighter in the world, and outside of europe DM wasn't that well known. The onus was on DM to chase Roy down.

    Why shouldn't I comment on DM? I didn't say I'd NEVER seen him fight. I said that I haven't seen a great deal of his fights, as I'm sure a lot of other people haven't, and that's because his fights didn't reach a worlwide audience. They were huge events in Germany no doubt, but not anywhere else.

    Regards, Loudon.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

    Roy Jones Jr is the biggest fraud in boxing and this poll further proves it.

    You guys been brain washed by 'Reed'

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Roy Jones Jr remind me of these basketball players at Rucker Park

    the guys that dribble with their knees and ****.

    Those 'And -1 street ball' guys that do all sorts of tricks against bums.
    God reading this thread is great, I love the theory that Roy just 'developed' a glass jaw.

    His jaw was always glass ,he just avoided the big punchers.

    If Roy had fought Nigel Benn in 1992-1993, Roy would have been exposed way before Milk Dud got to him
