Just curious, what have you seen from Golovkin that makes him so fearful? For such a decorated amateur, I expected him to be a lot more polished. But if anything, he's a bit crude and one-dimensional. Other than his punching power, I'm not particularly impressed by anything Golovkin does. Dude looked really vulnerable against Ouma and that's pretty much the only notable fighter he's faced. So I wouldn't write Proksa off just yet.

And yeah, Proska showed vulnerability against Hope, but it was nowhere to be found in the rematch where he won emphatically. Proksa also has dominated a top middleweight, something Golovkin has yet to do.

Anyway, I think this is an interesting, competitive fight.

Walker can be risky but put him in deep water and he's done. Adamek should have this in the bag or else he really is finished. Proksa on the other hand... yeah he's getting knocked out.

Yea so he is big, Adamek has fought big guys Golota, Arreola, Grant with success. Walker is a big puncher but so is Grant or Arreola. Adamek can take a punch. He lost or struggled with good technical boxers. Walker is just a big puncher with stamina issues and weak chin.

    Good post.:good

Walker will only beat Adamek if Tomasz chooses to engage in a war. And even then, Walkers chin is not better than Adameks.

Not saying Walker can't capture lightning in a bottle, he could and he is hungry b/c this will be his first and only shot at a payday. But Adamek, if he picks his spots, should be able to wear Walker down and stop him late when Walker is swinging for the fences.
PPL underrate Tomasz CPing ability on here. But he's one of the best there is vs fighters who get overly agressive. This is actually a perfect opponent for Adamek to shine against. It's risky, but he could get a highlight reel KO in this.:good

I was actually impressed with how he dispatched Ouma. I've never seen anyone walk Ouma down (Taylor, Rubio, Matirosyn, Bundrage, Gilbert). He fought Ouma's fight and thrashed him. He gave up some early rounds, with Kassim's higher activity (keep in mind there was over a 10 minute delay with GGG having to stand idle in the walkway while Ouma was warming up in the ring), but he showed how good his defense was with his face not being marked up. Keeps his chin tucked and catches the shots with his gloves until he gets inside and lets loose with those short punches with incredible power. Ouma's face in the meantime has never looked worse in a fight.

This should an exciting fight. Seeing how well or bad Golovkin handles that ambush style, should be an indication on how well Golovkin will match up with the much higher level of Martinez.

It is a shame that Proska is taking this fight at this time, because I think it is too soon, but I wish him all the best, he is an exciting fighter.

As for Adamek, I just don't think he can do an Evander, and be a convincing Heavyweight champion.

At Heavyweight, he seems to have lost his chin and lacks punching power.

I think Travis Walker is going to bum rush Adamek, and I am far from convinced Adamek is going to be able to keep Walker off him, but hey, it is an exciting fight to look forward to.

I don't say Adamek can't win, but it worries me that he looks to have regressed since beating Areola.

Adamak outpoints Walker in Adamak fashion. Proska could go the distance, he's the best opponent Golovkin has fought in..... ever. Proska is good but his loss to Hope says something about him.

Maybe thats why subconscientiously I started this thread...to have someone convince me that Adamek is not gonna take a beating in this fight. You've done a great job. I'm feeling more confident that Adamek can beat this big guy.

Now can you please change my feeling towards the fight Proksa has on his hands...

    ;)

Maybe he took the fight lightly & learned a lesson. He looked much better in the rematch with Hope & TKO'ed him in 8.

Adamek gets bumrushed in most of his fights against bigger guys. When he's countering properly, he clowns em and makes em look bad.
When he tries to trade he puts himself in big danger. I think just the massive size of Walker should keep Tomasz fighting smart in this one.

And Walker bumrushing him will likely get him stopped himself in the early rounds.:think
