Vitali has never KDd anyone as small as tyson. Plus Tyson would duck to make himself shorter so Vitali would be swinging at the wind.
Yes the 19 year old Tyson fought a man who was 6'6 and 250 pounds and Mike KO'd him in round 1. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCXLr619DDk[/ame] The better question would be,Can Vitali stop anyone with good head movement? Chisora who has 1/2 of Tyson's movement escaped. Kevin Johnson who has good head movement escaped. Vitali cant KO anyone with head movement because the shots dont accumulate.
Tyson's head movement would make it hard for Vitali to land consistently and land anything meaningful. You would see Tyson dig to the body and pop up for a left hook to the mouth. Vitali would be staggering, holding, breathing hard, making discouraged faces etc Tyson just too fast, accurate and strong for Vitali. TKO in round 4.
I see you posting alot, at least make your post meaningful. Tyson does not take Vitali off his feet ever.
Vitali is to slow. can´t hit a moving target. Tyson was a fury in te ring, aspecially in the beginning of the fight. Vitali has problem with anyone who can put together combinations, he just can´t defend him self aginst more than one punch at the time. he is to slow on his feet. This would probablu be the worst mismatch for Vitali who would be destroyed within two rounds. I am talking about prime time Tyson now. Older Tyson would still beat him but not as fast. People might say that Buster Douglas won over Tyson, but douglas was much faster and slicker than Vitali ever been. The only thing the K brothers have is their size and a puncher/brwler like prime time Tyson would not care, he would destroy both of the Klitschkos.
Tyson fought out of a very low crouch and then from midrange would lunge in with devastating hooks. The man punches in bunches (prime tyson) great head movement, can take a lot of punishment, knows how to break down the body, fast footwork. I'd pick him to TKO Vitali in the mid rounds. Every time Vitali missed punching down at Tyson, mike would spring up from the low crouch and catch him with hooks/ uppercuts. Vitali is so tall that I really dont think he could see a Tyson uppercut coming. I can picture Tysons signature combo the right hook to the body followed by the right uppercut to the chin being very effective against Vitali. Your not getting Vitali out of there with one shot but Tyson would break him down until he was ready to go or couldnt defend himself. I read an interesting article in ring magazine (and dont tell me they've lost prestige or creditability to combat the point im trying to make.) the three heavyweight champions that would be the Klitschko's biggest threats would be Sonny Liston, Larry Holmes and Mike Tyson for the reasons I listed above.
It is difficult to say but I do remember reading in Ring Magazine way back in Tyson's glory days that Tyson was nothing more than a blown-up cruiserweight who was benefitting from the worst heavyweight division ever, truly a talentless lot of heavyweights according to many issues of The Ring, and that Tyson would be exposed by the first talented big man with a jab he faced.
Tyson knew how to use his lack of height to work for him. He fought some fighters with excellent and great jabs in his prime like Holmes, Bruno and Thomas and they couldn't keep at a distance. Prime Tyson would cut off the ring and get inside without too much difficulty despite Vitali's size and once inside his lack of inside skills is where he would come unstuck. If Vitali had something resembling a decent uppercut then he could pull off the win, but he doesn't. Vitali has never fought anyone anywhere near as good as prime Tyson and that includes the old, poorly conditioned, slightly past prime Lewis. It would be a tough fight though. While Vitali cannot fight in close he is smart enough to know how to tie an opponent up on the inside. He would win enough rounds by simply scoring on the outside and spoiling Tyson when he does get in close. And Tyson would not have the strength to out muscle Vitali once in a clinch. Vitali could win with the right ref who would allow him to hold frequently but on a level playing field I'd have to go with Tyson to either win on points or stop Vitali late.
Tyson did seem to have troubles with tall fighters and Vitali has a good chin. I see a points decision in favour of Vitali, but I think Tyson KOs the younger brother. Styles make fights......
You watch prime Vitali in action and he was very hard to hit and still is. Tyson would get frustrated quickly. They do share some opponents, one being Julius Francis who Vitali did in two rounds two years before Tyson did the same in 00. Vitali had him down twice in round one also, he softened him up for Mike. :yep
