How Over-Rated Is FREDDIE ROACH????

I think people overrate trainers in general. If somebody has the goods they have the goods. A lot of great fighters seek him out an stay with him so he must be doing something right.

 

Hes overrated to a degree.

But not as overrated as Floyd Sr was some years ago.

When you have so many fighters to juggle its hard to keep them all at the top not to mention theres flaws like having a bad chin that a trainer cant do nothing about he can give you a game plan to allow you to be effective and keep your chin protected but if you dont listen to what he says and want to make an example of somebody and put yourself at risk ala Khan vs Garcia you might end up getting stopped like Khan did and you cant blame a trainer if a fighter doesnt follow what he says.

And BTW Roach>SR>Uncle Rog.

How can we know How good a trainer like lets say Uncle Rog is when he inherited one of the biggest talents in the sport from his brother and all he has to do is keeping him sharp which Floyd himself makes sure of that and could basically train himself or have anyone else in his corner and have the same results.

i think he is an elite trainer but like others said trainers get over rated too much

one thing i will add is who has Roach trained from the ground up

Khan already good when Roach got him

Pacquiao was already very good when Roach got him

i mean i think its tougher to go ground up then fix a few flaws that have already been revealed from a guy whose already good

He's obviously a great trainer, despite what Floyd loving mongoloids write.


However trainers and fighters have styles and they should match.


Roach fits good with very aggressive fighters who can take a punch.

Manny fits good with technical boxers who want a well-prepared defense.
