I cant figure this out for the life of me, it makes no sense and seems a bit unfair that some guys have to win five fights for gold while others only have to win four. why the hell are'nt there just 32 boxers in each weight and they all have to fight five times to become olympic champion ?

There should definetly be alternates on standby.
And while they are at it, lose the headgear...

"Some" grown ass men out there 20's/Early 30's n ****.

I think if you win world championships prior you get a bye, not exactly sure though

they mustve had way more fights before the games begun perhaps ?

Its really confusing. it would make perfect sense if there were an uneven number of boxers like 31 and you gave the world number one a bye but thats not how it works. i was just checking the lightweight division and four guys recieved bye's lomachenko ukraine, valentino italy, toledo cuba, and safaryanta belarus. why the hell didnt they just make two more matches instead of giving hese guys a free ride ?

    total bull**** imo
