    He was always gonna walk away from the sport. Once he found someone to pass on the Real Lineal Champ title to (Haye) his work was done.

    The great SNV was a phenominal fighter. His combination of size, power and speed were unparralleled in the sport of boxing. I have no doubt Sugar Valuev would have surpassed Joe Lous' record of 27 title wins had he not injured himself peeling a banana prior to the Haye fight.
    The banana injury was the reason he lost the Haye fight, and further injuries have kept him out of boxing to this day.

    There were rumors his DKP deal would expire this august and he was waiting that to make the Vitali fight.

    Anyway, it may be too late now. This fight should have happened in 2010.
