Why does Chad Dawson get a pass for fighting shot old fighters time and time again?
    Look at Dawsons recent fights.

    Hopkins 47
    Hopkins 46
    Diaconu 32
    Pascal (he lost)
    Johnson 40
    Tarver 40
    Tarver 39
    Johnson 39

So why does he get a pass for this?

Tarver had a rematch clause and he exercised it as far as I know.

Johnson should have won their first fight as he almost KO'd Chad but Chad got a gift, so props to Chad IMO for giving him a rematch

The Hopkins bout needed a rematch because of the first fight crap that happened.

He's fighting whoever's available. The current LHW division isn't known for its flock of spring chickens.

Seems like an odd time to criticize when he's draining himself to fight one of the top fighters in the sport.

    - He got a close win against Johnson the first time, so he kinda had to give Johnson a rematch

    - Hopkins despite his age was the guy to beat, the reason their was rematch was becuase of the debacle in the first fight

    - Your forgetting he fought Pascal and Adamek who were in their prime and is going down in weight to fight a prime Andre Ward

    - Tarver had a rematch clause, thats why their was rematch between him and Dawson.

    - Those where the best guys around, regardless of age.

He fought the top fighters, regardless of age.

And no, Johnson did not win their first fight. You judge fights on rounds kiddos, no matter how hard Johnson cries and whines after his losses.

    Doesnt differ much?

    Hopkins 47 - Dawson 28 thats 19 years difference
    Hopkins 46 - Dawson 28 thats 18 years difference
Diaconu 32 - Dawson was 27 thats not bad and 5 years difference
Pascal (he lost) - Dawson lost this one (same age)
Johnson 40 - Dawson was 27 thats 14 years difference
Tarver 40 - Dawson was 27 thats 13 years difference
Tarver 39 - Dawson was 26 thats 13 years difference
Johnson 39 - Dawson was 25 thats 14 years difference

Dawsons last 8 fights hes totalled overall 96 years younger when compared to his last 8 opponents ages combined

Calzaghe in his last 8 fights fought

    Jones 39 - Calzaghe 36 thats 3 years difference
    Hopkins 43 - Calzaghe 36 thats 7 years difference
Kessler 28 - Calzaghe 35, thats Calzaghe older by 7 years
Manfredo 26 - Calzaghe 35 thats Calzaghe older by 9 years
Bika 27 - Calzaghe 34 thats Calzaghe older by 7 years
Lacy 28 - Calzaghe 33 (very nearly 34) thats Calzaghe older by 5 years

I will stop there but overall you can see a big difference I would think

Then he should have stayed at 168 and fought younger better fighters.
So why does Dawson get a pass for this ducking and fighting oldies

its pretty clear that dawson ducked a thriving 168 division at its peak to go and take the easy pickings in the 175 division.

the american market is well known for overhyping its own fighters in the most insular, ignorant, narrow minded country on the planet.

HBO and ring magazine lead the delusional brainwashing in the american media to make out that 175 actually had any significance and consequently chad dawson became a huge american hypejob for clearing out perhaps the worst light heavyweight era in history.

its always been the team elite corporations speciality to identify and out american hypejobs before they are exposed and team elite accurately predicted that dawson would be exposed when a top 10 fighter from the 168 division moved up weight to 175 in plodding carl froch victim jean pascal.

175 has been the worst division in boxing for the past 15 years and this clearly proven by how glen johnson went from being a punchbag in a thriving 168 division, to mixing it with the best in the much weaker, overly hyped 175 division.
