I will concede this is a matter of opinion, but I consider a young Kessler to be a much better win than an old Hopkins.
this is true. but you need to consider the time spent defending too. If Wards opponents are rated between 1 to 10, then thats about 8+8+8+7+7 at champ level (I think?). Total 38 points. If Calzaghes opponents are rated between 1 to 10, and then added up, you get 6+2+2+5+2+2+3+6+5+2+2+3+5+3+6+8, which totals 50something points. SO ward has a higher batting average, but Calzaghe resiume is currently 'better' for its length.
exactly, a young fit man can beat old Hopkins by outgassing the oldie, but you dont have that option with Kessler.
Ward and Sergio have been a wash for p4p#1 in atleast the last year. But with sergio's age, Ward is clearly the future #1 p4p.
