    Thought I would shift my focus again away from the HW division and pay tribute to the great Lightweight division, champions and great contenders as well as discussing some of the better fights in this weight class.

    Gawd I love the lightweights. Williams, Mosley, Jose Luis Castillo and Pea were my faves at the weight. Oscar too of course :oops:

    It's a shame there aren't many fights with Joyce, Williams, Bobcat and Jack around. ****ing hell that's a **** off, especially when there is footage of fights 20 years before their time! And we get nothing :verysad

    also , 2 avoid ranking d pro wrestling era along with d more documented and regulated era , i will not try 2 include them , nor armstrong , joyce , angott and a few of their successors because i and u just don't know how real their records really r .

    McLarnin won a controversial UD over Young Jack Thompson and Canzoneri beaten Kid Chocolate twice (once by a very close UD that might have gone either way, once by a KO in 2 or something). These are the ones I remember.

    The lightweight division has superb depth of greatness and history. Usually the top three is.....Duran, Leonard and Gans, in whatever order you care to place them.

    This division contains the two best pure boxers, defensive masters, the sport has ever seen. Pep and Whitaker.

    Duran probably doesn't belong in Top 10 resume-wise.

    I guess that depends on what lightweight resume means. If you take him from his pro debut to the third Dejesus fight I couldn't leave him out. If you actually take his time at lightweight... Not unreasonable.
