Ward hasn't even fought away from home yet and you're rating ahead of Calzaghe? Give the guy a few more years to prove himself before ranking him over retired greats.

    Yes.

He will be light years ahead of Calzaghe when he retires as it is.

I personally think H2H Calzaghe was an absolute beast. I don't see Ward beating him in that sense. But Resume wise, I think Ward will definitely surpass Calzaghe, on paper.

No. He needs longevity. Maybe not 8 more years as champion, but 4 or 5.

he's already done it. a win over dawson (a better opponent at the time Ward is fighting him than anyone Joe C has faced) should seal the deal for even the worst types of nuthuggers though

I dislik the homer **** about Ward too but calzaghe didn't fight away from home until his last 2 fights vs old ass men and has never beaten anyone in Dawson's class. Calzaghe was the definition of homer.

He ****ing unified the division except one belt who is held by a guy he already beat.

Joe has done NOTHING in that ballpark.

Dawson will be weight drained and is not a smw. Ward has alot more to lose than gain in this fight.

I agree with this surprisingly. I just want to see Ward defend his title a little more or pick up a few more

How about the Hawaiian punch Brian Viloria?

His last two years' resume trumps those two.

And the answer is no!!!! The super six is really a **** competition. It started as super six then became super 3. it is composed of at best B class fighters, some old, past their expiry dates fighters and fighters who really did not accomplish much. Infact, the super 3 of Mares, Agbeko and Darchinyan is more credible than that.
