Mayweather Promotions and what he is doing with TMT is quite different dont you agree.

TMT will actualy be the main promotion....Mayweather promotion was never the Main promotion....so again he is leaving to start his own full fledged promotion company if that makes you feel better.

 

Imagine Floyd would demand 50 mil guarantee + PPV for a fight under TMT Promotion.

TMT would go bunkcrupt.

 

Floyd wouldn't need to be greedy considering he would be eating into his own money.

Floyd paid GBP to promote his events. Mayweather promotions was just paying for it and all of that money came out of Floyds pockets.
He never signed with GBP.

1) Mayweather Promotions is in fact a "Promotional Company"
2) Golden Boy is a "Promotional Company"
3) Floyd has bragged he doesnt pay other companies to promote his fights because he has his own promotional company (Mayweather Promotions)
4) Mayweather Promotions doesnt sign with Golden Boy yet PAYS them to PROMOTE Floyd Mayweather fights on a fight per fight basis

What check mate ? There was nothing to check mate.
He had his own company that did not have a license to actually promote. Floyd channeled his money through that and hired GBP to promote his fights.
He got all the money his events generated and had any of those events flopped it would have been Floyd who lost money, not GBP.
No he will be running a company with 50 and actually promote the fights with the newly founded company.
TMT is not like Mayweather Promotions. They are completely different.

Mayweather promotions was used by floyd for a number of tax right off. A lot of professional boxers do this, and do it very well.

Mayweather promotions never had a license to host events in Las Vegas or anywhere else, so you can see that Mayweather Promotions could never promote an event by themselves.

TMT now has a license to promote this means that floyd and 50 will be able to do exactly what Top Rank, Main Event and GBP are doing for all their top events.
