some more solid contenders, starting to be quite the upstart stable. they gotta add some young prospects next, they got their elite fighters in floyd/ gamboa, their young champ level guys in Berto/Dirrell, their contender level guys in Dib, Caba, Zab..... now time for a few prospects..... hopefully GRJ. Broner wil jump ship when his contract expires with GBP too and they'll have another elite guy

 

Good start, but they're going to need to sign some Mexicans to stay and compete though. Especially through the early stages. May and September have become synonymous w/ boxing, thanks to the Mexican crowd. So which fighters can they sign to take advantage of that PPV buying demographic? I doubt putting a PPV card in February for Black Histpory Month will have the same effect monetarily. Another thing, GBP had a bunch of fighters from the start, as well as DLH as the cash cow. He's proven he can sell a PPV vs. a no name, something Floyd really hasn't done, or tried to do. Unless TMT plans to do cross promotional cards (which is my guess w/ GBP, as they continue the 'relationship' already forged), they need a LOT more fighters before we can take them as a contender. Right now, TMT is just a good looking prospect.What's going to keep them afloat is brining up NEW Stars to take the spot of their old ones. Floyd's done in a couple years. Judah, while gaining an impressive win over Paris recent, is almost 10 years past his best days. Dirrell is a solid up and comer. Berto, IMHO, has peaked, and will have the tag of "cheat" stuxk to him for a while. But he can put on entertaining bouts, and those go a long way towards forgiveness.So they have Gamboa, who like Berto, can put on some entertaining bouts. But no one knows who he is. Can TMT make Gamboa a somewhat relative draw? Don't think that can happen w/ someone like Broner in the opposite end. There just aren't enought notable names at 130 or 135 to push Gamboa onto the next level.Gonna be a shakey couple of years for TMT. They got their work cut out for them, that's for sure.But the MOST important thing they can do, gather more fighters (and not just black if they want to thrive), and hire a quality matchmaker. For an example of a bad matchmaker, just look at GBP.
