None of you have seen him fight. Film footage of him fighting is non existent and even if there were, none of you guys have seen it. You've only seen him doing the bag and doing some really amateur sparring.

I do not doubt the fact that he has an amazing resume and probably one of the best ever, but calling him one of the most SKILLFUL boxers is just asinine. He would be beaten by JCC JR, Monzon, Hagler, Martinez, etc.

No disrespect, but really? He looks awfully slow, his technique isn't as refined as the fighters today. He'd be a class C fighter today.

Sometimes you have to just trust the historians and reputable scribes.
    It is what it is.

    His record and performances?

I wasn't too impressed after hearing all that great stuff about him only to see what's in that footage

Let's just say that footage we have of him isn't convincing anyone that he's better than SRR

No disrespect but what I'm seeing here, he wouldn't even beat the C fighters of this era. People who claim he's p4p one of the most skilled boxers are just nostalgia dickriders.

Like they've NEVER seen him fight. It's so funny.

Most Classic section posters are a bunch of weirdos who shouldn't be taken too serious.

Well theres no footage of him.

But theres footage of fighters he beat.

    Like Walker,Tunney,Loughran etc

And you can see how good they were.

Thats gives you an idea about how good he was.

And his resume cant be denied.

    Arguably the best resume ever

There is film of very skilled atg fighters he faced and beat like Tunney, Walker, Gibbons, Loughran. If he could beat the best of the best in 3 weighclasses being a MW himself then anyone who doubts his skill level needs to aquire some common sense. Oh and he did it while blind in one eye for most of his prime.

Greb's resume > Ali, SRL, Hagler, Monzon combined. Greatest fighter to ever put on a pair of gloves

I don't deny his resume, but he's not one of the most skilled boxers to live. Floyd is 10x more skilled than this man, from what I'm seeing here.

Maybe...but his resume surpasses SRR and that of any other boxer by a fair margin.

I can agree but he would be easily beaten by the middleweights of this era.

Truth. The nostalgia dickriding is very strong in this forum. I once heard someone say Harry Greb would beat Monzon LOL.
