lets see.... HBO advertised Ruddock vs Lewis as "who will face the winner of Bowe vs Holyfield?" "the winner fighting the winner of bowe vs holyfield by CONTRACT" as stated by Lampley in the opening credits.

thats a tournament or prearranged meeting dumbasses . i guess since it wasnt advertised as the super 4 heavyweight tourney, it wasnt a tourney in you newbie dickheads book.

 

It was worse than a tournament, it was a legal contract signed by all four parties and/or their legal representatives (Bowe, Holyfield, Ruddock and Lewis) and of course the WBC.

also think bowe wanted to deny lewis his payday.

as bowe was effectively black balled at the start of his pro career after losing to lewis in the olympics.

and Bowe V Holyfield

the winner of each fight contacted to fight each other

and you just know that if Holyfield won he would have honoured the contract and fought Lewis straight away.

Bowe and his sad apologists are what has ruined boxing over the last 20 years - It gives boxers licence to avoid their biggest challengers and let their demented fans expound how they would of won anyway.
