Massive congratulations to Ray Wheatley. Inducted into Australian Boxing Hall of Fame with Robbie Peden, Wally Taylor, Frank Thorn, Peter Felix and Joe Bugner. No one has done more for the sport in this country in recent years. 21 years publisher World of Boxing, Fightnews correspondent for a decade, IBF board member - the only one outside the USA and secured world title shots for Mundine, Green, Geale, Dib, Darchinyan Taylor, N'dou, St Clair etc:happy

I was there at Crown last Friday night to see the inductions. It was great to have the four living inductees: Robbie Peden, Wally Taylor, Joe Bugner & Ray Wheatley, there to receive their golden glove trophies. Was very pleasing to see John Famechon be made a Legend of the ANBHOF & join Les Darcy & Lionel Rose. It was a great night enjoyed by a capacity crowd. Well done Brett McCormick, David Hanvey & their Hall of Fame team.
