Joe is some boy. He was a banger in his young days until he dodgy hands put a stop to that but he managed to develop a style that worked so well and he was so smart inside the ring, once the fight got going, he always managed to find a way to get the job done.

I miss him now he's gone

Not one to question your knowledge or judgement slip but I have never seen that in him, he had a special mentality and a difficult style to deal with but I have always felt he was beatable and nothing more than a good good fighter.

I think ''special type fighter'' would suit him better.

He was unique, I can see why people really rate him but was he special? imo No he wasn't, he had special attributes but when you look at the bigger picture and take everything into consideration, I don't think he is as good as his style or record suggests.

It's alright saying that but nobody managed it. He must have been an absolute nightmare to fight.

A southpaw with great hand speed who constantly attacked, threw dozens of punches in a round and had a good chin, nightmare to face..

Without a doubt, you could argue that Reid and Hopkins did beat him, although I had him winning both by a round.
