If you get knocked down by a 43 year old, do you have an Iron Chin?

    What do you think, ESB?

Smells a little bit overrated to me. Looks like more brittard mischief.

    Iron? Hmm...

depends if the 43 year old is a big puncher.

If its Foreman, you cant blame the guys chin

If its Bhop, then your chin has to be questioned

Boxing. Anyone can get knocked down. Just look at the journeymen that have put down and rocked fighters like Ward, Dirrell, Dawson and even iron chinned fighters like Pavlik. Its what happens when that fighter gets up that counts and most of the top fighters get up and win

Calzaghe never had an Iron Chin. His chin is overrated. He ate **** against Mitchell and was dropped by old man Hopkins and shot to pieces Roy Jones. :patsch

Yet never once had to hold on to survive, was always throwing punches back, never did the chicken dance and even after suffering knockdowns was the fighter pressing the action.
Do you think Calzaghe looked badly shook up when caught square on by Hopkins?
When you think in 46 fights he only went down 4 times, and was never out on his feet, I dont see that as bad.
Look at how mant times Dawson has gone down in far less fights.
Hopkins is known for a good chin, yet was down twice by Mercado and wobbly and had been put down before only to get away without counts, like when Echoled knocked him down

yeah Calzaghe doesnt have iron chin but he has great recovery rate. He can get straight up and recover in 1,2,3 seconds. I've seen it again and again - he does down, and he gets straight up! It was one of his great abilities.

He may not have tough legs/chin but he has a boxers gyrometer in his head that resets fast. Add to that that hes fast enough to keep out the way of slow hardhitters like Lacy and the business sense to avoid prime fast hardhitters, so hes not going to get KOed this lifetime.
