Burt, please write a book, a chapter on each of your greatest fighters, top 10.

It's no disservice to say Louis knocked Ramage out twice. It's a fact.

Although the first was a TKO. (Ramage took three 9-counts though, so it was probably fair and right that he was saved from further punishment).

    Yes, Ramage was very good.

Jack Blackburns praise is beyond yours by a long shot.

I think I'll go with him.

Yes, I've heard this "Jack Blackburn's word is gospel" stuff somewhere before.

I'm quite happy with Lee Ramage being a GREAT fighter (I think Schmeling was better though - based on results. :D). He was very good at least. We all agree on that.

    Joe Louis KO'd him twice.
    That's a fact.
    That's no knock on Ramage.

Had Lee stuck to guys his size he’d be in the HOF today.
He was better that Rosenbloom and Billy Conn apparently.

He looks a legit 190 pounder in the second Louis fight.

He said himself his best fighting weight was 175 but it was a no $$$ division.

He did the right thing then.
Bob Pastor was a heck of a fighter too, who might have been better suited for the 175ers.
