"I would think that if [50 Cent] promoted Floyd, then it would make a match-up between Pacquiao and Mayweather that much easier," Arum said to ringtv.com.

"You would have somebody that is a friend and a mentor that he can rely on and they would protect his interests in any kind of promotion, and I would be on the side of Pacquiao."

Yeah, the fight has zero interest. Mayweather would toy with him. In 2009 the fight had far more luster and would have been far more competitive.

Also makes it far more likely for Bob to control the lion's share of the pot and the promotion, which is what he's wanted all along.

Arum still talking about this fight and now expects 50 to make this happen just because he couldn't. Especially with his excuses, Building a stadium etc.

The fact that bob arum says **** like this and other crap like " manny will fight in November and then mayweather in 2013" should prove that he is the reason this fight hasn't happened.

How can he be so confident to say **** like that if mayweather was the issue becaus if that was the case he'd say something to the effect of "if mayweather would just do this, then we could make the fight"

People think its the 50/50 split that's the problem but ****, if pbf wouldn't give PAC that split before he lost, you know he isn't gonna get it now but yet arum is confident as if there is no issue in the world. I would still watch but the obvious is more accepted now. Manny becomes summa cum laude.

Maybe Lonesome Bob just wasn't interested in dealing with Golden Boy? If TR and TMT were to co-promote a Mayweather Pacquiao fight, wouldn't TR in practice be the defacto lead promoter?

Let's see if Lonesome Bob is willing to sit down with TMT and make a deal.

That said, I'm not holding my breath...

Intriguing attack on Golden Boy Prom... Maybe 50cent can rap this match and make it happen and make it a hip-hop hit!

Yes he'd screw with 50 that's what'd he'd do. Still, this fight lost interest thanks to Arum's milking, but Pacman also to blame. I think they'll still fight in the end. It will sell thats inevitable, but not like 2009-2011. Once again, in the long run, The Bobfather wins. It would be a huge slap in the face of GBP if TR and TMT did do a fight together. TMT isn't on GBP's level to be a true threat to Arum. I think Arum would more likely do business with TMT than GBP.
