Not an Aussie but I was rooting for them, Linde was up against a class opposition being that Zhang was the Silver medalist last time.

They have overturned that putrid result where the japanese kid was robbed. Good for him...shimizu now advances. The refis also been investigated as far as what his future in the competition will be. That grub deserves to be sent home asap.

British joshua was given a gift. Cuban won that.

Balla was robbed. The opponent was on the back foot and tiring for two rds. How he won the last rd 6-3 is a joke.

    * best olympic boxing crowd ever.

I and the commentators thought being only 1 point behind after 2 rounds that he was the winner for sure but he lost the 3rd 6-3  dodgy.

Finally a ref has diqualified a fighter for continuous holding , the Iranian got diqualified against the Cuban in the heavies , would love to see this in Pro Boxing , repeated holding is ruining boxing.

extremely unfair imo. Both of the fighters were holding and the ref singled out the iranian, he worked 4 years to get there and got dq'd by a lousy decision.

the south korean girl that lost the fencing bout for the gold was worse done by. she was ahead, and the clocked stopped at 1 second to go as she retreated knowing it was over. except the clock stuck on 1 second for 5 econds and the other girl scored ...and won..

no protest would overturn the decision despite the FACT it was the clocks failure that lost her the contest. what a farce. she was in tears. all that training to be cheated out of the gold. un ****en believeable.

the other girl should give her the gold medal back.

I agree mate. Terrible scoring Savon got done by the hometown decision.

Also i couldnt believe when US Bantam Joseph Diaz Jr. lost the 2nd round vs Cuban Alvarez when Diaz clearly dominated the round with many clean effective punches.
