Good to see the true British boxing fans wished he lost after that performance. Boxing first, country second, and I'm never being taken in by a hype train again without seeing the guy box. I'm pissed off he is even being mentioned in the same sentence as Frank Bruno.

So Savon got jobbed. But I think Joshua can be a pretty good pro. Does anyone know his weight? He looked 15kg bigger than Savon in there.

Looked poor last night tbh. I reckon he would do better at the pros but honestly, I'm absolutely not sold on him. Might well turn out another Audley.

That was the worst performance Ive seen from Joshua, he was very tense.

Hopefully he'll perform better in the next round

Lets work on the understanding Joshua actually lost the fight against Savon. He's just dropped a decision to a top cuban fighter and people are already tossing around words like bum and hypejob. There is no need to say he'd be the next Lewis but if we are going to start writing guys off after one loss in the ams then people need to get a ****ing grip. By that logic tyson was a bum who couldn't even beat tillman. Yawn.

it was always a tough fight that the cuban won.

I know there team werent pleased drawing the cuban.

I got to admit, i though Our Brit won the 1t and the cuban the 2nd 2 rounds. and i was suprised the brit got the verdict.

what i would say is that, that was a great fight, both fighters would make good pros. I'd love to see that cuban go pro. I loved his style for heavyweights.

Also the Brit was good. It was just a very tough fight.

No need to be rude. If you have a source for that I'd be interested to see it. Everything I've read, including interviews with Joshua himself, has said he started boxing at 18.

Honestly though ESB, can he only be either the heavyweight saviour or a useless bum? There is space in between. And don't be too harsh on a young and inexperienced amateur on the basis of one fight against a world class opponent.

Funny how some of you clowns say Joshua is useless and in the same sentence say Savon was class... It was a close fight. Hope Savon turns pro now, and don't all cry when Joshua has that gold medal round his neck

And people commenting on him after they've seen ONE fight... He is an amateur with a lot to learn, did you expect Ali straight away? Boxing fans should know better
