Jabs don't generally count in amateur boxing unless they visibly snap their opponents head back. Which Khytrov did numerous times against Ogogo.
Glancing, light, slappy pot shots generally don't score either, but they did for Ogogo.

    Holy **** you're right. Khytrov's total was 53, Ogogo's only 52

    Let me make this short.

1- Savon dancing and doing **** all in the third round for the first minute=zero points.

2- Ogogo didn't get dominated for ****. It was a relatively close fight, that was no robbery.

See the bottom line is, every UK Boxer now NEED TO KNOCK OUT his opponent in order for ESB to say 'oh he won fair'

It wasn't a robbery was a close fight Ogogo boxed Khytrov's head off in the 1st round he should've been up at least 3 if not 4

Khytrov came back & handed it to Ogogo & the bout ended up 18-18 a draw

Ogogo got a decision in a very very close fight, stop crying robbery every decision you disagree with, sound like a bunch of whinging *******s

Your title ask If we know how to score.
    I honestly answered "NO"

I was expecting you to educate me.

(and for the third time, I never talked about robberies)

I hate it so much that I decided beforehand that I wouldn't watch any of it. Olympic boxing is horrible because of the scoring system.

Why not have it pro style with headguards and heavier gloves if necessary, 5 judges can even call the fight to hopefully gain a wider prospective... also costs more to bribe them haha

FFS, can you just explain how the scoring system works, please?

yeah, the sufficient power thing is the subjective part - it has to have impact but some judges get slap happy and will count the 1-2 shoe shines of guys like Khan (blitzing straight shots have more success in the ams than committed body work - and body work is only good for long fights, anyway). Thus, Bradley would score zero points in a pro or amatuer fight against Pac until round 10.

It's kind of like the tkd kicking criteria - it needs to induce "trembling shock", whatever that is, to get full points.

From next year there will be no headgear and rounds will be scored on a 10 point must system. Confirmed by AIBA.
