That's an old scoring system. Each judge can score what he wants and it counts. No need for "same time" anymore. The scores of the two judges with outlier scores are disregarded and the remaining three judges scores gets averaged for each round. No points awarded for knock downs or counts, other than if the judges score it as a hit. If you get a warning (pro boxing point deduction) the other boxer gets two points to his total score. three warnings is a DQ.
    I think that's it.

    HERE:

"Contests are won by knockout or on points.

A point is awarded for a scoring hit with marked part of the glove on the opponent's head (side or front) or body (above the belt).

A panel of five judges decides which hits are scoring hits.

Judges each have two buttons before them, one for each boxer, and they press the appropriate button when they believe a boxer delivers a scoring hit.

An electronic scoring system registers a point whenever three or more judges press the button for one boxer within a second of each other. No point is awarded for a hit unless three of the five judges agree.

When two boxers trade blows in a flurry of infighting, where no full-force punches can land, the judges wait until the end of the exchange and award a point to the boxer who got the better of it.

At the end of the bout, when each judge's points have been totaled, the boxer awarded the most points by a majority of the judges is declared the winner.

If two boxers end up with the same number of points, the judges decide a winner by assessing such factors as which of the two took the lead and showed better style.

If the judges determine those factors to be even, they turn to which competitor showed better defense.

Punches to an opponent's arms do not score points.

Punches that are judged to have no force behind them do not score points."

    Outdated.

    1. KEY FEATURES OF SCORING SYSTEM
1.1. The scoring system is based on the Individual Score.
1.2. There is no “one second window” for three Judges to score at the same time.

    London 2012 Olympics: boxing guide

"The fighter who knocks out an opponent or scores the most points wins. Boxers score one point for every punch they land with the marked part of their glove on their opponent’s head or upper body. If three of the panel of five judges hit electronic buttons within a second of each other the boxer is awarded a point.
Any boxer who moves more than 12 points ahead of an opponent automatically wins"

Nobody is hurt about that. People are roaring that the Ogogo fight is a robbery.

It wasn't. It was a close fight and the hometown fighter got the nod. Big Deal.

It was a close fight because the 2nd standing 8 count was total bull**** as well.

Box Rec even said the 2nd 8 count was not needed.

4.2 In case of a tie in the Final Scores:
4.2.1. First, delete the lowest and highest Judges’ total scores in each red and blue corner.
Then, the winner will be determined by the total scores of the remaining three Judges of
    each red and blue corner.
4.2.1. Second, in case of a tie after the above process, all five (5) Judges shall be asked to
press the button once for the Boxer who has won. The decision is made by the majority
of the panel of these five (5) Judges.

There you go. Didn't know the "judges click" part myself.

edit: this means the individual judge's scores has to be viewed, not the three scores for each round.

Joshua is much better than Audley IMO and I think ( despite what I wrote ) that he will have a better pro career , the problem is that with scandals like last night they're destroying his credibility , he has now to prove himself in his next bout and look good , another hometown decision and his rep is over . If he wins the Olympics he'll be an undeserving champ IMO , a bit like Canelo , still a kid , with lots of potential , but not yet at his peak , holding a title hostage and beign overhyped to the rafters . Peace .
