The fight it'self is a bit of a joke. It's basically a natural Super Welter against a natural Cruiser. Chavez must be weighing around early 190's. People are saying Canelo and Lopez is not a fair fight.

If Chavez fought at his natural weight (SMW/LHW) he would be no more than average as the size advantage is his main weapon at MW. There really should be a 2nd weigh-in just before the fight and a maximum amount weight that can be gained during the rehydration period.

I really really REALLY hope Sergio can cope with the weight and use his far superior boxing ability to pull it out the bag.

Sergio is going to dominate and destroy the hype that is Chavez Jr.

 

Sergio actually looks a little bigger to me in this picture. I know the camera can be deceiving but I've heard reports that Sergio walks around at about 180. He's not a small man by middleweight standards. Jr will be bigger on fight night but I think the Sergio will come in a lot heavier than most people expect.

Don't think he looks bigger but agreed, Sergios last 5 fights he's been inring at between 175-180 (i think his heaviest to date is 182) so hopefully he shouldn't be giving up too much in size, either way he won't stand for no Chavez bullying head down tactics anyway, he'll just pummell him for 12 rounds

 

The only way JCC Jr. wins this **** is if the Cartel abducts Sergio's loved ones and demand he lose the fight or else!!!
