I'm pretty sure its not. Henry Armstrong fought all his title fights in a period of a little over 3 years and he has more title fights than Eubank. Heck Joe Louis might have more
Kind of bitter sweet considering he was stopped twice on his feet. Frazier and Foreman would have stopped him if the fights went the full rounds without the ref intervening.
Len Wickwar had 466 and that is a record not likely to be broken. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=24129&cat=boxer
I know its an odd one. But will we ever see 2 brothers dominate a division for as long as we've seen the Klits dominate the HW division? Their combined unbeaten run goes back 8 years! and their combined record is 103-5(im giving Vitali the Charr fight already!). Cant imagine seeing 2 brothers ever doing that again.
Benitez didn't win "a word title" he won THE CHAMPIONSHIP. Some sheltered prospect, a la Chavez w/ the WBC, will beat that one day and claim to have beaten Benitez' record w/o making the true distinction b/w TITLES and the CHAMPIONSHIP. Just like Hopkins fans who think he became CHAMPION by beating Mercado.
Alexandre Manea (I think that's right) was 0-53, think he had like 40KO losses. Francisco Quiroz-The worst record of any world champion (11-15-1-1, 5) Alex Sanchez-The shortest career of anyone to fight in a world title fight...90 seconds!
