You obviously haven't watched enough boxing. Who has mayweather ever had a slugfest with for 12 rounds?
A prime`s match-up would be impossible because fmj started at 130 & likely had his peak there were as Morales declined at 130 & had his peak at 122. If they were the same size tho then only one thing is certain, fmj would be in the toughest test of his career vs the best fighter he`s ever faced.... we know Erik can be taken to the brink & come thru like a legend, we don`t know that with floyd yet. floyd is the better pure boxer but Morales has all the intangibles & is such a great overall fighter himself in every department that floyd win or lose would be in a world of ****, believe that, Morales is an undisputed legend.
Prime Morales would of tapped that. In fact Prime Morales would tap it harder than Big sal. Need I remind you Big Sal has been tapping Mayweathers Azz for 2 months straight! Zing...
mayweather was never a very active fighter, Morales at his peak thru 800 + punches a fight thru 12 rounds (see McCullough & Barrera 1) all quality, technical, well placed shots.. The judges would be all over that..
The problem is that I don't see EM being able to throw 800 + punches against PBF and if he somehow did he would get the **** countered out of him.
You call those slugfest?? Just cus Cotto bloodied floyd's nose doesn't make it a slugfest, tjhat was a boxing exhibition. Corley vs may was also a boxing match, a little bit of exchanges here and there.
Augustus and Chavez were slugfest and PBF can fight like that if he chooses to as he showed by stopping both.
You know, i hate Mayweather but no denying his an excellent boxer. Morales was a beast in the lower weights which is something folks forget. Timing, power, warrior spirit, good speed, feints, straight rights etc... First, their best weights are too far apart but in a H2H fight, I take Morales.
