Why? PBF has him beat in every department. EM isn't going to be able to outbox him nor will he be able to knock him out. How does he win? PBF is a stylistic hell for EM and beats any version of him period end of discussion.:deal
Not a public poll and EM is treated like God on this forum. There is no common sense when discussing him.
i love Erik Morales but come on guys, appreciate the talent of floyd boxing will miss him when he is gone.
They think he'll win solely on work rate or something stupid like that. They'll ignore all of the other elements involved in boxing. If they look at the fact that Mayweather has every advantage imaginable they would realize that Morales has no shot.
Well, their best weights are too far apart. If you want to compare perhaps the ONLY common opponent in Jesus "El Matador" Chavez I think EM did a better job even though we was 2 weight classes from his best weight. No denying, absolutely no denying Mayweather is a great boxer but Morales was a great boxer in his prime... One of the big downfalls is that Mayweather never had his Barrera or the warrior spirit balls to the wall like EM. I think he could have proven a bit more but rather chased the money.
EVERY fighters punch stats and out put drop off when fighting Floyd. Plus he was more offensive and hit harder at smaller weights. Easy money.:

PBF toyed with Jesus Chavez. He hit him with so many clean counters and uppercuts that snapped his head back that I honestly felt for his safety. I loved watching that fight one of my favorite PBF fights. With that said Chavez was a little too brave for his own good he went to war with PBF and EM only to come up short in both.
There`s no doubt in my mind that Morales would eat a lot of counters, its inevitable vs mayweather... he`d also land a lot of quality shots himself & has the sort of chin that floyd wouldn`t be able to crack enough to discourage Morales, he`d also force floyd to fight at a pace he isn`t used to fighting at... Erik can brawl or box & switch from brawling to boxing at a split seconds notice, his jab & excellent balance would also be difficult for mayweather. I`m not saying I think Morales beats mayweather at any weight because I think mayweather wins H2H in reality... but IF they were the same size & at their peaks aka floyd of 130 vs Erik of 122 then I wouldn`t be laying big money down either way.
They also had Carlos Hernandez & manny pac... oops, scrub that one, apparently it still hasn`t happened  But they did have Hernandez & Morales did better vs him.... for the record tho, floyd did do better vs Chavez IMO.
