I just re watched the OGOGO fight from a non bias neutral point of view. Four times.

I like to apologize to my Ukrainian brothers. I don't mean to insult them. That was my bad.

I love Ukrainians.





I really like Anthony Ogogo.

His name is great, he's cute, and he is fighting for his very sick mum.

So I was a bit bias.

I re watched the fight four times from a non bias point of view. I re watched it with a professional boxing writer just to hear his input.

( I apologize to my Ukrainian Friends, no insult meant)

Here is my and the boxing writer's final conclusion


R1-Ogogo dominated the first round. The 7-5 Score was bull****. The Ukrainian was slow, ponderous, and didn't even throw combinations. He jabbed with one punch again and again. (KIND OF LIKE JOSHUA, Ogogo fought like Savon. Ironic, isn't it? )

R1- Should have been much wider then 7-5

Ogogo Round: BIG


R2- The Ukrainian started coming back, he landed some big bombs but was hit himself. Ogogo deserved the first 8 count.

THE 2ND 8 COUNT WAS BULL**** IN ITSELF. Unfair point to the Ukrainian. Even American Teddy Atlas was raging for the NBC taping. Like 'how is that a 8 count?"

Ogogo was fine.


Ukrainian Round: Barely


R3- Ukrainian fouled non stop, that's why the ref kept stopping it. But he won the round. Ogogo was doing the rope-a-dope so it looked like he was getting hit, but was blocking the punches.




Conclusion: Most of the punches the Ukrainian threw was blocked by Ogogo's arms. In the Olympic scoring style, that's not a point.
Ogogo threw flurries and flashy punches. The Ukrainian threw big one hand punches and jabs.

Joshua threw big one hand punches and jabs, Savon danced like Ogogo and threw flurries. Think about it.


The Ukrainian won the fight. But it was really really close, and in that case, the home town kid in a boxing match will always get the nod.

I REALIZE THE UKRAINIAN FARMER was not a Communist.

He just liked wearing berets.

Why do you care if he's a communist or not?

If he was? Do you stop rooting for him?

Who cares bro, you put too much emphasize on **** like Communist and Democracy. Just enjoy the fight man. They are all hard working athletes fighting at the Olympics. Show some respect.

what is the difference? These are all insults, but not one of them crosses the line enough to be considered 'a racial attack'
