Yeah right, "kelly green on the doors". Just as I thought, you're nothing but a bullshitting 42nd Street ***, and you don't know a goddamn thing about New York and boxing. Keep them fake titties on straight now, sweety.

What a waste this place is.

Look at the posts of these two fruits and you'd think that Jerry Quarry was a busted up old drunken sot they picked up out of the gutter and even so he should have hung his head in shame for beating up on two such pathetic down and out no hope tomato can bums like Shavers and Lyle.

Oh, now I remember you Jack,

You used to hang out on West 42nd Street, at the Peep Shows in the
    bathroom, as a cum-catcher.

Then you'd make a 'bee-line' to the Bus Terminal off of West 36th and 8th,
and try to pick up strays hanging out in the stairways, with a sign around
your neck that said 'Papaya King'.

    McSorley's Ale House (3rd Avenue)
    Houlihan's (42nd Street & Lexington Avenue)

Try to think up your own gags, moron.

By the way, why is it that I can't find papaya drink like they make at Papaya King and Grey's Papaya anyplace else in the country? What's their secret formula?

McSorley's is great, but it's not on 3rd Avenue, you jerk.

I don't know no Houlihan's on 42nd Street. It must be a hoity toity *** joint.

The bus terminal is not on 36th and 8th. It is 4 blocks to the north of 36th and 8th. What a phony you are!

    Jack

    You Dick.

    Houlihans (122 East 42nd Street)
You can call them to confirm your reservation (212) 922-5607.

McSorleys Ale House (15 East 7th Street) between 2nd and 3rd Avenue
You can call them to tell them they're in the wrong place (212) 473-9148.

And I purposely put the wrong address to the Bus Terminal, to test you.

And you passed, it is obvious you knew 'exactly' where it was.

You 'are' the ****** in the stairwell.

You just ****ed yourself for all to see Jack.

    Loser.

Yes he was Jack! Ellis was on top of him in the very first round and was sensing an big early KO when he got hit with in Jimmy's words "the most stupid punch I've ever gotten hit with" No one is denying Earnie's power if he lands a clean one which he did. Not to mention Jimmy at that time wasn't the late 60's Jimmy anymore.
The Young fight I've read about, and reports say Young was back on his feet and ready to fight prior to the stoppage but....let's not forget that Young was "green" in that one. How long before that did Stander put Earnie in a puddle?
And Lyle's KO of Buster? Jerry had given him a one-sided beating before Lyle got him; he was heading downhill quick by the Lyle scrap.
Take a deep breath Jack. I'm 59, Jerry was my hero. He belongs in the HOF! Did you read my previous post? IMO pvp Jerry may well beat both Lyle and Shavers.
I, and others, are just saying that 1973 may well have been the 1st real year when Jerry was tasting his abuse demons and the Lyle/Shavers results may have masked this to some degree.
