They way he stopped Arreola and Adamek (two career 0 fighters) recently is better than Sanders. Vitali has taken plenty guys 0, a lot more than Lewis ever did.

Nah, Marciano was far more dominant, retiring as the undefeated and undisputed Champion. He didn't throw out his shoulder and retire on his stool against LaStarza and he didn't lose on cuts to Walcott. And the one time he was in position to be stopped by a cut, he threw everything he had at Charles to put him away before that could happen. Just no. And the 50s is a criminally underrated era of battle tested contenders mixing it up with each other on a regular basis.

actually these are pretty much the only ones that are relevant.

If you dont think we are debating people who won world title fights at 38 then we arent debating the same thing.
Clearly and blatantly I am debating Lennox fighting as WC at 38 (versus Vitali), and clearly I am telling you that virtually noone in history did defend the HW crown at 38, so history almost entirely supports Lennox declining the Vitali fight. History says - Lewis, you are doing the right thing, son'

Clearly and blatantly, you want to extend the debate to anyone or everyone who was an exchamp making a comeback to fight for anything or anyone. I do not know your motive for changing the debate when I have already set the goalposts.

So we are talking entirely different matters. Whether you accept that we talking different languages is up to you.

But never pretend you are winning an argument when you arent even fighting that argument in the first place.

Lewis was absolutely speechless in the post-fight interview. he was sayin that Vitali was detiorating but blood was running from the bone of his nose...256 pounds!!! BTW, Vitali's best win is against Hide, no doubts about it!

How pathetic, this was your original quote that I responded to:

"38 year olds have never been a threat to the HW title anywhere in its history....until planet Klit came along."

Its pretty obvious you were not talking about Lennox Lewis' preposed second defense against Vitali. You were discussing 38 years olds as a threat to the HW title, and I have a hunch that statement is related to the thread title. Just one exception to NEVER BEEN A THREAT proves you wrong, I provided 4(excluding Vitali) that exceeded being a threat and actually won a title. As for actual threats: Joe Louis, Archie Moore, Larry Holmes, Ron Lyle..etc were all top contenders/threats to the title at 38.

Very sad post. Just admit you were mistaken and move on. Pretending you didn't say something in a board where you can be quoted just makes you look sad, pathetic, and stupid. Good job! :good

it was the best uppercut ive ever seen.

vitali was holding on fo his life, with his head down.

lewis then gave him that tiger uppercut. the sound is great.

ohhhhhh what an uppercut by lewis :)

"TIGER! TIGER!" He mastered that uppercut with the help of Thailand Kickboxing Champion Saget.

actually you are right there, I have mixed this up with a post I made about how right Lewis was to not give Vitali a rematch.

Sorry about the confusion. I've been at work and must have crioss indexed the two posts.

But my meaning is plain here for anyone to read. Only Vitali found an arch nemesis in a 38 year old, before that, a 38 year old was never the arch enemy of a HW champ.

Thanks for pointing out the distinction between my two Klit-wrecking posts. I am glad that the two posts have been seperated entirely by your kind observation, so that they are more devastating for it.
