"Todd told me that Pacquiao has difficulty with taking blood and doesn't want to do it so close to the fight," Schaefer said. "He, Pacquiao, would only agree to have blood drawn before the kick-off press conference and after the fight."

Manny Pacquiao had agreed to Blood Testing after the fight, Can a steroid or performance enhancing drug get out of your system soon after a fight?

the point of testing for roids is to prevent a fighter from getting hurt by somebody on drugs finding out after the fact wont help them

If it is done immediately after the fight, then it would detect it. No point taking performance enhancing drugs if they will have little effect for the big day.

but wait, aren't they saying that blood testing is not an issue anymore? So what are you arguing about something that happened 3 years ago that makes Pac look extremely bad? I thought you were a fan of Pacs?

The thing is steroids arnt going to directly help you in the fight

They will help you train for the fight, increasing the gains you get from training giving you an advantage. They can help you with your stamina for example so that you can keep moving and throwing punches as you will have built up the extra stamina in your system.

But it would deter them from doing so in the first place.

THIS is the answer. If you KNEW you would get a test after the fight and not a random test you would juice up all the way through training except for the last week (or two to be extra careful) and have your muscles all juiced up with roid beef.

Then you can just stop taking the PEDs and the illegal medicine they are testing for will be out of your system but you will still have the 'roided beef with clean juice.

THUS a blood test post-fight is pointless. However random testing has been accepted I believe?

and this is pointless. urine would catch steroids and pac agreed to random urine test anytime. he also agreed to random blood test up to 24 days before the fight and one immediately after the fight.

Saying you will take the test and turn down 40 million shows you don't want to take no damn test.
