Isn't gymnastics and diving? And when you see a guy clearly out landing his opponent it takes the 'opinion' out of the equation yet the boxing judges get it wrong.
there are 5 judges, sometimes 1 judge thinks a punch has landed while the other doesn't. what do you suggest as a solution?
Ok perhaps its true to a degree. But these fights in question were robbery no matter how you dice it.
We are talking about robberies where its very plain to see the winner i.e. there is only one guy landing the clean scoring blows.
****** is out so I don't give a ****. I know it was a record for a boxer to make it there 3 times but he might as well went pro 4 years ago. Considering what a ****ing joke the scoring is, it was a big risk anyway.
Wow, Relentless makes a valid statement.... I ****ing HATE Olympic scoring, but I am a die hard boxing fan, so although it's boring sometimes, I do like watching amateur boxing, including the olympics. Watching a guy like Lomanchenko is a thing of beauty though...he is a rare gem.
Butt hurt Americans left, right and centre. It's not Olympic Boxing that sucks. Your fighters suck. Your amatuer program is a joke. You have kids with 15 amatuer fights, trying out for your Olympic Squad.
Well i shoulda been laughin last night being British i like to see Yank boxers lose, but lose properly, not win and get robbed like that. Felt proper sorry for him, he kept his gob shut though, dont think i would of.
spence wasn't robbed at all yes he should have won but it was close and a lot of his punches were landing on gloves
I agree some of these guys don't know how it's scored, because it isn't by rounds.. it's accumulative. Yet, but part 2 is your problem.. scoring blows seem to score 50% of the time at best for some fighters. Seriously you could watch a guy land double-digit clean blows in a round, and be scored 3 points. Something wrong with that. It's either corruption or complete and utter ineptitude.
They should implement some sort of touch tech with the gloves & helms. A solid blow & the helmet lights up like a "Tron" movie. (I ain't foolin') Have a comp tally up the landed shots. There fixed!! Also having neon blue & red glowing suits would kick ass. (Turn off the lights aswell) This content is protected
