It was the mouth guard and apparently 8 seperate counts of holding in the final round without any warning, therefore they upheld the protest. Fair decision the kid deserved to win
With this decision making skill I wonder how they are going to judge the finals. Will they even give a wrong decision for Gold and then over turn it after the medal distribution ceremony? Win or lose everybody is going cry foul..
But this wasn't a case of subjective scoring, it was a case of blatantly incompetent refereeing. Vikas cheated and wasn't penalised.
Dude.. Vikas cheated? as though he called the scores.. What will he do? I'm talking about about the incompetence in making a decision by the judges in the preliminary rounds. If they can't score it correctly in fights which are less important how can they score a fight which has highest importance.
Does anyone know what happened with the last bout that was over-turned Did the bookies pay out, refund or what?
Have any bookies paid out because of the Spence result being overturned? Has anyone else noticed that in their statement about the Ogogo-Khytrov bout, AIBA claimed they were taking the unusual step of releasing the individual scores. As far as I remember, before these Olympics they've always released the individual scores for all fights?
I've emailed betfair but I don't hold out much hope. I've been covering most bets when it's been close but i actually cancelled my lay of Spence as I thought it was so clear there was no way they could rob him after having the first 2 even atsch
