Honest opinions please guys...although Wlad has the athletic ability his brother never possessed...I believe Vitali is the better overall fighter...Lewis was the best fighter of his generation...in my opinion...

    Thoughts please brothers

I agree, Lewis would have cracked Wlads chin wide open. Prime Lewis would not only have almost ended Vitalis career, he would have humiliated him.

Klitards like to think Vitali retired lewis, but they conveniently forget that Lewis pretty much came into the ring on a zimmer frame.

To think that a guy, who hits like Volo and with the technical ability he has with his straight right delivery, couldn't possibly catch Lennox with a McCall or Rahman type shot is a bit silly, I think. That said, yeah, I wouldn't favour him against even the last showing Lennox and I don't think he'd have lasted as long as or caused as much trouble as Vitali either. :conf I tend to agree, best for best, Vitali is a better total package as a fighter.

Wladimir's right hand would put Lennox into a coma. Terrible mismatch.

Who knows. Wladimir has always been the better of the two brother's yet Vitali give Lewis enormous trouble. Would have been a great fight.

I wish these threads would stop.

It's the same **** repeated day in day out just reworded.

As for the Vitali v Lewis fight, if Wlad had landed his version of a right hand that Vitali landed in the second Lewis would have been in dreamland.

Prime for prime I go with Lewis but it wouldn't be as easy as all the Klitschko haters say.

I believe Wladamir, with his current skillset, coaching and confidence, if he were put into Vitali's situation and took that fight on two weeks notice, would of wiped the floor with Lewis.

As for the real question of best for best, I favor Lewis. As you said Lewis was the best fighter of his generation.

Wlad is the best of his. Not his brother. His career is nowhere near finished though so this comparison is a bit premature.

I think prime Waldo has a chance against any version of Lewis. Doesn't make him the favorite, but it'd be an exciting matchup.

That's your opinion, I've seen plenty of exciting matchups in Wlad's fights. Jefferson, Byrd I, Brewster I, Peter I, Haye etc.

Disagree. If someone like McCall could KO Lewis, Wladimir has a chance of doing it as well. I agree that Lewis was a more complete fighter than Wladimir is now, but the younger Klitschko would have some things going for him as well: better power, size and athletic ability. Lewis would have that mental toughness and ability to rough it up. But Wladimir vs. a slightly past prime Lewis is a 50/50 fight, imo.

Yeah, Lenny the Lion is not a good fit for Wlad, Lenny would smash him in 6.
