Amir Khan should not be trained by Steward. Biggest mistake if he does

As much as i like Steward , i think he is to old now he is 68 years old and he already got a few fighters with him. Amir khan needs a trainer who will be there for him. Steward is way to busy i think he might be more busy than roach. With the HBO job he got and plus the fighters he got i dont think he got the time that Amir khan needs. if this was a few years back it would have been perfect, but now he should just train with the Mayweathers they only got like one or 2 fighters.

    STEWARD > MAYWEATHERS ANY DAY

    Is he 68? :O

Doubt any trainer can do anything for Khan

Khan just needs to stfu, forcus and do his job

Not become impatient and move away from a gameplan

Freddie is just lacking the ability atm to dicipline him.

:deal Agreed. Khan doesn't focus on the technical parts of the game. If not Steward, Floyd Sr would be good. He can help him how he helped Oscar and just step back if Khan ever did face Floyd.

No one is better at training tall boxers than Steward is.

i dont think it matters who trains Khan because people know his chin is dodgy, if he fought Berto or Ortiz they will be gunnin for the ko because they know Khans chin is bad

I agree they shouldn't work together, but not due to giving a **** about Khan.

Steward shouldn't waste his valuable time on Khan.

Steward said that he thought Khan did nothing wrong when he got caught by Garcia...if he still has that opinion, then Khan shouldn't go to him.

Khan should stay away from Roger and Mayweather Sr. They do know the sport, but they don't seem like good teachers. They mainly just brag about how great they are, and the shoulder-roll style wouldn't work for Khan anyway. It's good that they at least stress the importance of skills and smart fighting, but I don't think they have the ability to reshape someone like Khan into an effective force.

In terms of personality and boxing knowledge, Naazim might be a good choice. He's refreshingly levelheaded and dignified, and he doesn't underestimate other fighters. He knows what he's talking about.

I'm not sure how good he is in regard to teaching the sort of stuff Khan needs to learn, though -- defence, jabbing, patience, ring intelligence, etc.
