Even sticking the tip in counts... He ****ed Cotto & Martinez :good (Popped that cherry, Wet that whistle)
I think you can add many more champions to this list. Rafa Marquez, Vazquez, etc.... So rank wise, 30th to 40th being the highest. If that
You can also add: Gilberto Roman Lupe Pintor Rafael Marquez Jose Luis Castillo Juan Zurita Israel Vazquez to that list, and theres many more, but those come immediatley to mind.
Above Margarito. Based on accomplishments, and if he can bag a couple more decent wins, I wouldn't have a real issue including him in the Top 25 or so.
We think alike. BTW, was Manuel Ortiz Mexican...or simply Mexican American? If the former, he definitely needs to be rated highly. So do Rafael Herrera. Alfonso Zamora, and Rodolfo Martinez, who were all fine bantamweight champions in the 70's/.
Manuel Ortiz was Mex-American, and he is a top 5 ATG Bantamweight for sure. :good You can add Zamora and Martinez to the list of Mexicans ranked higher than Margo as well. :yep
Personally think anyone who considers him higher than this should be ashamed of themselves! it is a slap in the face to all the great fighters of the past:bart
+ Rafael Marquez & Israel Vazquez --- What a stupid question... Margarito is not worthy of being discussed in any capacity. Truly, his accomplishments should be null.
Like I said this was in response to an earlier thread asking where he rank all-time (not just in Mexico)
