I think the general thinking is Sanchez, but for me it would be JCC, although my favourite is Morales.

Should Tapia be classed as Mexican?

My personal favorite is Sal Sanchez. His win against Gomez is monumental, his fighting style was beautiful combination of power, boxing ability and incredible toughness.

What the hell is ODLH and Tapia doing in that list? They are not Mexicans!

The best I would guess is JCC.

    It's Chavez.

You'll get **** for putting Oscar in that list. Poor bloke. All that debating which Mexican would win belts in 4 weight classes first, and the Golden boy smashed six, years ago!

Oscar DelaHoya is a 10 time world champion, gotta respect that. 3/6 of his losses were debatable.

I have to say delahoya is the best pound for pound mexican fighter of all time, but what Chavez's reign is legendary. Beats all the fighters on the list in his prime.

    Fernando Vargas could have been.

He was beating Winky Wright at age 19.

He was fighting Prime Tito at age 22.

The 22 year old version of him could have raped Canelo.

He never even saw his prime. he could have been the Goat .

They ruined him cuz they wanted early money.

If Vargas was in this era he would have cleaned out the 154
