Ricardo Lopez is one of the finest pound for pound boxers of all time.

It has to be Chavez although he's the only Mexican great I have a particular dislike for.
Ricardo Lopez is for me,the most underrated boxer of the modern era.Had he fought anywhere north of bantam he'd be a household name of Chavez-like proportion.
And I have no doubt Chava would've surpassed anything JCC achieved.
My admiration for Johnny Tapia knows no bounds but the guys are right,he shouldn't be on the list.
My favourite is Barrera and I have almost equal respect for Marquez with Morales not far behind. And the TS must be a youngster, because leaving the likes of Saldivar,Zarate and Olivares off the list whilst including Canelo shows that they have little idea of what happened before 1980.
With all due respect your list has glaring omissions and awful inclusions.

Sad but true... Crossdresser beats JCC ad Sanchez on the same night. Stronger...faster...smarter... Even if the same size. Oscar too good for JCC.

    Mexico's best ever is Oscar.

Vargas was the **** back then. Horrible management ruined him.

I wish there was a young Vargas now and with Golden Boy. They would know how to protect him and build him up slow.

I honestly think Vargas if he had reached his Prime would have killed Chavez Jr of today.

Vargas was 5'10 and easily a MW Body. Could go into fights at 168 re hydrated.

    Except he's not from Mexico.

Best Mexican fighter is considered to be JCC(although PFP my choice is Finito Lopez).

    Best Mexican/Amerian DLH

Best fighter of Mexican descent probably DLH.

Vargas is more Mexican then Oscar.

Oscar is not a real Mexican like Vargas.

Fernando Came out to the Mexican Flag and was tight with Chavez Senior.

He had that Mexican gangster accent and he flaunted it. He also said if he could go back in time and fight for Mexico in the Olympics, he would have.

Oscar as much as I Like him, is not a true Mexican like Fernando Vargas.

So Oscar shouldn't even be on this list.

  10. Most Skilled: Juan Manuel Marquez
Most wins and most overrated: Chavez Sr.

JCC of course but Salvador Sanchez is very close in my opinion. Somebody forgot about Edwin Rosario in the poll and the board is clearly underestimating Ricardo Lopez maybe cause he was a small guy...
