Any list of Mexican greats that excludes Rockabye Ruben Olivares is woefully incomplete. Just saying...
Definitely Chavez Sr. . . FINITO is by far my favorite, though. . . Best combination puncher of all time. . . I'd say it's tie between him and Sal for second. And to be real, Marquez is pretty damn close himself.
Fernando Vargas could claim he's a real mexican all he wants, but that doesn't take away the FACTS that he acted like a typical Californian cholo, and that he was born and raised in the USA. Fernando, along with DLH and Tapia are americans and don not belong on this list. :rofl @ Canelo being on this list while the likes of Olivares, Saldivar, Canto and Zarate aren't. Anyways, Chavez takes this. Accomplishments and skillswise, he's above the rest.
Im going with Marquez. This guy will be miss when he hangs up the gloves and in my opinion the best all around fighter Mexico has produced so far. I just can't miss any of his fights:good
