If Valez loses one second of one round its an abject failure on his part.

Great fight for a young Wilder.

Manswell is a strong very very experienced 35 year old Ox.

    Good test.

Wilder will make a wonderful tune up in the future for Anthony Joshua.

    Round 1

Valez out catching Brea's jab but bringing the pressure. Brea working the jab and throwing lefts to the body but nothing landing. Valez working the jab, catches Brea with a nice lefthook. Hard left hook from Valez. Lead right from Valez starting to find a home. Nice left to the body from Brea. Right to the chest of Brea. Brea lunges and gets caught with a left hook and grazing right from Valez. Very slow feeling out round, but Valez on cleaner punching.

    10 - 9 Valez

    Round 1

Velez is jabbing quickly with his left and backing Brea up. The right hand of Velez comes shooting across when Brea tries his right jab. Brea is shut down every time he starts to open up. Brea is held at the end of the jab, trying to work in with a right hook. Velez drops a right hand on Brea ducking in, scraping the back of his head. Brea reaches with his jab and tries to place a left to the body but isn't able to close the gap.

    10-9 Velez

Wilder properly making the transition. . . He doesn't need to jump right into a Banks, Grant type fight coming off facing nothing but D+ level boxers. . .

    Gradually transition up. . .

We've seen too many times where a boxer gets his record padded from D level boxers, then goes right to a B- type boxer, and gets sparked.

    Round 2

Velez is holding Brea out with the jab and curling the right hand into his jaw as Brea loads up and falls in with his left hand. Velez puts the uppercut in behind the jab. Brea wings a wild left to the body and gets hit with the 1-2. Velez pushes Brea to the ropes with the high left jab. Brea circles and waves his arms to pick off shots, unable to get off.

    10-9 Velez

    20-18 Velez

    Round 3

Velez jabs high and brushes the top of Brea's head. Brea is able to duck inside and plant a right jab to the body, forcing Velez back a step although it was partly a push. Velez doubles his jab from outside, patiently working from the outside. Brea ducks and wings a big left hand over the top, missing. Brea tries a left to the body as Velez is snapping out a 1-2. Brea finally connects with his overhand left up top. Jabs and rights across the top of the head by Velez. Right to the body by Velez, and a jab to the corner of the eye.

    Closest round, but still Velez.

    30-27 Velez
