World amateur bronze medalist Krishan originally won the bout against Errol Spence 13-11 but, after reviewing video footage, the International Boxing Association (AIBA) declared the American the winner - stating the Indian's numerous fouls were overlooked by the officials. "A counter appeal submitted by India to AIBA was not accepted by them on the grounds that their jury had already reviewed the bout and given their decision. "India's stance was that the fouls committed by Errol Spence in round two and three were not considered by AIBA." The AIBA overturned the original result after their competition jury found Spence should have been awarded four additional points for fouls committed by the Indian.
this is why boxing should go back to the old days where you just fought till the other guy couldn't go no more
Yup and the protest was thrown out the window. Barriga was deducted a point for putting his head low. Nevermind that the he was about 5 inches shorter and avoids punches by ducking and the Kazakh was pushing him down at every clinch.
It was rightly overturned, lol i dont recall india moaning and whinging at the 2010 commonwealth games with all the gift decisions their fighters got huh?
i remember haroon iqbal (totally sparking back a **** load of memories that it is amir khans brother) and th eventual gold medalist was tighter thant the cards.
theres a referee right there the whole fight what a joke its a fight get a better ref , or you dont need a ref which is it. The refs decision should be final. Amateur boxing is bad enough , this is a joke , the yanks handed over a few dollars and the indian couldnt do **** but offer an ox or his sister
