I never get sick of this fight. For the first 4 rounds it was an absolute shootout! Corrie was a dangerous dude for the first 4 or 5 rounds. In the early going he had Rahman in more trouble than Rock had him in.
That's what happens when you're careless trying to finish it against another puncher :yep Great fight... If you see this I can understand why some here want the 2nd rate fighters dishing it out with eachother for the HW crown, very spectaculair! but the problem is most (almost none) of them don't fight like that.
Awesome, awesome fight, not to mention that between the two they share knockout victories of both lennox lewis and wlad klitscko.... two of the best heavies of the last 20 years
i loved how corrie sanders knocked wladimir the f**k out however my boy vitali took his ass back to school.
Should've got it... although it wouldn't change anything (other than the scoring at the moment of final stoppage). I was really pissed at Sanders as he looked really out of shape (even for his standards) for this fight, and his style gave Vitali enough trouble to think it could be a winnable fight for him otherwise.
2000 had a lot of entertaining fights: Barrera-Morales 1 Trinidad-Vargas Vargas-Quartey Hamed-Sanchez Etienne-Clay Bey Mosley-DLH 1 Judah-Millett Ward-Neary Diaz-Ward
Hasim was usually in some exciting fights. I think his fight with Holy was very entertaining and under rated.
not even close. Vitali was hit hard and started moving back and Sanders grabbed him and pushed him down. He didn't land another punch from the original one that hit Vitali and 10-15 seconds later Vitali falls down? That isn't even logical along with the fact that it was a clear push.
Yeah I like this fight. As the OP said, a bit sloppy but good. Entertaining like a fight should be between guys of this standard.
