They are debating that for next olympics, also the Spence fight was over turned because of the Americans whining  The Japanese fighter who was robbed terribly had the fight turned also which was more than fair and Savon V Joshua was a close fight, quit bitching because your 2 heavies got eliminated. There have been some terrible decisions in this olympics but the results that have been appealed against have been overturned
my coach told me they had a meeting on it. they are thinking of removing the head gear. too many complain that it blocks their vision.
Spence: Wasn't robbed Get's the decision overturned since it was so bad Pick one, Brittards, clearly you can't have both
I find it a ***** to fight with. I odnt have much experience so i cant really say much but in my bouts it has bothered me quite a bit. I dont even wear hats because i find them annoying. The damn headgear is really bothersome(for me).
I've always had my problems with Olympic scoring, haven't watched a round this Olympiad (part too busy, part don't care) Let's turn back the clock, 2008 China. Lt. Heavy division. 1st round, a young African from Ghana, Lt. Heavy (can't remember his name) fought a Nigerian who had won the bronze in 2004. Had him out on his feet by the beginning of the 2nd (rare)...a stoppage! God, this young man was tough (I was thinking of a cross between Smokin' Joe & Rodrigo Valdez!) His next fight was against the boxing Brazilian. He landed 2-1 the ENTIRE fight and...loses a decision?? OK, my hero is gone so I'm rooting for the tough Irishman now...he decisions the Brazilian and fights the Chinese Lt. Heavy for the Gold and gets decisioned by this (Imagine a teenage amateurish piece of crap Ernie Terrell kissing, holding, and hugging thruout :roll piece of horse-pie!! Unless they change things and revamp Olympic rules and scoring?...**** on Olympic boxing, now and forever!!!
The Olympic scoring system, and the style it creates, ruin it for me. It rewards slap boxing and does little to nothing to prepare a fighter for the professional ranks.
The Judging at these olympics has been disgrace anybody see the 2nd round of Abbos Atoev (UZB) vs Vijinder (IND)
Yeah that was a shocker. Funny thing is didnt the Indian benefit from dodgy scoring the round before. Still two wrongs don't make a right it just seems like a lottery as to who gets the decision sometimes.
I dont recall mate but I do remember Atoev being on the right-side of awful judging in the last round against Bogdan Juratoni.
can we just lose Olympic boxing at this point. Just ban it from the games. Its the most corrupt group of ****s in the Olympic system, and that includes sorry ass FIFA, FIBA and the convoluted mess known as Gymnastics.
