Slim pickings for Broner at 135. Though, he'd be expected to win big, there's not many fights out there as good or better than a matchup against Gesta.

Broner isn't going to knock him out and I could see it actually being a fight. I say Broner by UD.

I think there's a void of intriguing matchups that can be made at 135, period. There simply aren't any marquee names. Gesta is undefeated, has been on tv, has power, and is a south paw. Based on the current alternatives the division can offer, I'd prefer to see him over most of the other fighters out there to fight Broner.

well Gesta is one of those matchups you do realize he is signed to Top Rank right? Broner would beat the living **** out of Gesta.

And say he wasnt signed to Top Rank you think people would be cool with Broner fighting somebody out of the top 10?

The discussion isn't about the politics on why the fight probably won't happen. I'm well aware the TR and GB rarely cross promote and the thought of them ending their cold war to make this fight happen is laughable.

I also believe Broner would badly outclass Gesta, as he probably would every other current 135lber.

Gesta, none the less, offers a stylistic skill-set that would make for a slightly intriguing tussle for Broner.

And the fact that he's not highly ranked doesn't bother me in the slightest considering the talent, or lack there of, ranked above him.
