Let her play football. No point in going pro. Could she find a way to get some coaching badges? Get that natrual talent she has and find ways to harness it? I dont know. It all depends on whether she wins gold or not. If she does - theres nothing left to achieve really. Unless with her natural athletecism its not to late to start swimming lol!!!

No matter what Katie does after the Olympics she will be sorted if managed the right way. I can guess that she will be offered jobs left right and centre if she wants to take them up. I can see someone trying to get Katie to promote boxing not just in Ireland but around the World if she wishes to do that. Also you just never know. A stint in the pros might be worthwhile if she decides to do that. No matter what she does she can look back at every thing she has done and hold her head high.

Lads was on IrelandAm talking boxing today- so nervous and wrecked had a few mind blanks- but they were asking me about support for Irish Boxing and figures for the site etc... if some people tweeted them @irelandamtv3 to say fair play for showing boxing etc- might encourage them to look into showing some boxing

Who is Conlon fighting today and what are his chances?

Also can someone do a RBR, haven't seen any boxing on shitty US tv, is there a web stream showing the fight?

Conlan is fighting Nordine Oubaalli. Conlan is slight favourite with the bookies, but for me its a real 50-50.

Fight is on at 9pm Irish time.

Not sure about a web stream in your area, but rte are streaming all the boxing if its available.

Conlan is up at 9pm against Oubaali of France. Conlan has already beaten him twice but there is very little in it. Will be a real 50/50 fight tonight and as always, you haven't got a clue what way the judges will score it. You can follow the RBR on the Olympic thread in the Brit forum. RTE and BBC will have legal links to the boxing :good

    EDIT- see above!

if your in the USA then just watch NBC. Teddy Atlas is doing all boxing including the Womens. I think its channel 12 on terrestial tv over there.
also NBC have an online stream for people in US also.
but you need to be a local tv subscriber and have the details handy.
But any hotel with a tv channel will have it on NBC trust me.

think it will take alot more then a few tweets to get them to show boxing but i guess it could not hurt and might be a step in the right direction ,,, only thing is what would they show because there is F*** all happening in the south at the moment and even at amateur level there is not alot you could put on the tv

Bit nervous for Conlon tonight. I know he's beaten yer man twice but its was only by 2 points both times. Hopefully he does the business.
