Messaged him last night and asked him if he would fight brook in the uk if he was made a decent offer and he said yes. Thats got to be an ideal fight down the line if he holds onto his title long enough!

    Would be decent.

I imagine GB will find him something else in the States.

Would be a great fight for Brook if this could be arranged. A nice fight against a relatively high profile US boxer which I think Brook could realistically win in some style.

I would be keen to see this go ahead.

I think this would be a disaster fight for Brook at the minute. Malignaggi is too awkward a fighter, has a new lease of life and has lost to Khan and Hatton and this is what Brook will be measured against. Down the road, maybe, but Brook is 3 fights away from a major world title IMO.

It's a winnable fight for Brook, of course; but I wouldn't be entirely confident of that for reasons you bring up.

Paulie is 4 in 4 at the higher weight and that's inclusive of 2 'stoppages'. He's got to be full of confidence and he looks to be enjoying his boxing more than ever - which is dangerous in it's own right, not to mention when paired with the akward style and skills Malignaggi has.

I'd love to see the fight made though - as a fan of both boxers.

I'd like to think Malignaggi would win this, he's the much better boxer of the two, sure his power ain't all that but I'm not really convinced on brooks either and Malignaggi has a very good chin. Malignaggi on points.

I wouldn't mind a flutter on this outcome, if the fight comes in to fruition.

To think; people had all but written him off after the Khan fight. Now he's a current World Champion who has won belts in two different weight classes and is really in contention for good fights. If he were, to say, beat Brook he could line himself up for the Alexander/Bailey winner and have a chance of unifying belts in a great division. It's obviously a big ask - but the mere fact that it is in contention is impressive, not to mention well deserved.

On a side note - circumstances like this should spur Khan on to get his head down, mouth shut and earn his way to another belt.

I'd like to see it, but if I was Hearn I'd have him in mind for later. Totally agree, though. Some fighters do improve with that extra weight.
