It's not true. Tyson was one of the most protected men in prison. He was associated with the nation of islam, and he was friends with Tupac, Suge Knight, and a bunch of celebrities. He also was rich and was not new to the underworld.

I don't think Tyson had any problem surviving in prison considering he was bred and trained for it his entire life, but there are some sick twisted people in prison and Tyson realized that he wasn't a sick sociopath but a regular human being from being in prison. I would say it humbled him but it does that to any young guy who goes to prison.

I'm sure Tyson did get into a fight or two in prison and I'm sure it did go down similar with shot callers and guards involved betting on it because what do you expect? It is a prison.

But I don't think Tyson was the sort of person who everyone in the prison would want to try. Tyson had both money and he was a professional fighter which means he could kill you in or outside the ring with his bare hands or with someone elses.

I would say his money and his fighting ability protected him in prison as much as it protects a member of the mafia, a shot caller, etc. Do your research on Tyson, he lived the street life since he was a teenager and was not the kind of guy you'd think people would try and test in or outside of prison.

I'd sooner believe Tupac got tested in prison because he was a small guy with a big mouth. Tyson was a big guy with a big mouth and big money.

Young Tyson would be punching dude's faces off. Literally.

It isn't like Tyson was not used to street fighting. The dude was known for putting the mitts on grown men when he was a tender early teenager.

I am 99% positive that for the version of Tyson that went in? Prison suited him more so than the real world. My guess would be he actually fed off of it.

What i find funny about when boxers or just celebrities in general go to prison everyone assumes they're gonna get ****ed up.

It's like there is stereotype that every dude in prison is a 6'6 300 lb homosexual black dude who splits his time equally between working out in the yard and sexual assault.

a prime Mike Tyson would beat 99.9% of any man that has ever walked the face of the earth (you are a complete idiot to think otherwise)

There probably isn't a man alive who could take a barefisted combo of punches from a prime Tyson and stay conscious, the human head wasn't designed to have people with that much punching power hitting you bare fisted (the same logic would apply for people like Foreman, Liston etc you get the idea)

It's like when Mayweather went to jail, you had people believeing on here that he was gonna be gettin his ass kicked left right and centre, now i know Mayweather ain't the biggest guy in the world, but i'm sat here thinking are you guys ****ing serious? the guy is a world champion boxer and a tremendous athlete, you think he's not more than capable of defending himself?

Here's the logic, you can do 12 rounds toe to toe with Miguel Cotto and stay upright, but **** with a dude in prison, your KO1.

I might actually get sent to jail, just to know what it feels like to be so ****in badass i could Mike Tyson's ass

Exactly, Mayweather has trained to fight since the day he was born, Tyson for most of his life as well.

These guys are more than adapt at defending themselves.

I was in the nick with a genuine two weight WBO world champion. He was on the receiving end of a lot of bad mouthing, but he confronted the one who was the main antagonist in front of everyone in the exercise yard and the guy totally cacked his pants.
There was a load of moaning because he got cushy jobs and other minimal priveledges but as has been discussed here before, any sort of celebrity is a logistical nightmare for the prison authorities.
You're right, people know absolutely **** all about what really goes on.The majority of fights in the nick last about four seconds and anyone who wanted to fight Tyson without going with a blade would deserve all they ****inj well got.Very rarely do you get anything resembling a straightener in the nick anyway. It's usually an ambush,a stabbing or a four second grabfest.

It really annoys me just how ****in stupid and gullible some people are.

I refer back to the Mayweather situation, there was literally page after page of people who thought he was genuinely gonna get his ass beat on a regular basis in jail.

I commented a few times saying basically have you guys forgotten boxing is a combat sport? and Floyd Mayweather is a fighter by trade, who trains every day of his life to fight, and he's pretty ****ing good at it too.

And i always remember some idiot commenting "yeah but dudes in jail probably outweigh Floyd by 40 lbs on average"

And i'm thinking mate, i probably outweigh Floyd by about 60lbs and do you know what would happened if i ran up on him? i'm getting my ass knocked the **** out, no doubt about it.

And this doesn't just apply for Tyson or Mayweather, you could apply this to pretty much any top draw combat athlete (whethere that's mma or boxing whatever)

I'll say this again, being in jail doesn't give you magical powers to **** world class boxers up all of a sudden.

Exactly. A trained fighter is gonna beat the average thug to pieces. Weight classes are only for the sport aspect of it. Take that away and you have a pro puncher to deal with. Normal guys cant fight well and can't take punches.

Abner Mares will KO a 6'5 250 pound man on the street easily.

If Tyson had fights in prison it would have leaked out faster, by time he was released it would have been known of.

    A Couple of things

1- I think the Rakim Oaks Thread was deleted, I can't find it anywhere.

But Rakim Oaks beat the living **** out of Tyson. Sorry. It is what it is.

2- To some of the morons in here thinking that Floyd could have survived the PRISON Mike went to and it's 'the same thing' because Floyd is also a PRO Boxer.
Wake the **** up. Floyd is a midget lightweight, Tyson was the HW Champ of the WORLD. Mike Tyson will literally tear off Floyd's arms in a street fight and beat him to death.

If you had to 'gang up' and 'jump' either Floyd or Prime Tyson, 100% of the people rather jump Floyd.

Tyson was a monster in prison and it is a known fact he raped many.
