Who was more overhyped, bute or khan

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Phill-Mitchell, Aug 7, 2012.

  1. Both got exposed big time this year

Khan walked into a big left hook and got pummeled

Bute just got the **** beat out of him

Bute. Some of Khan's hype is justified as he has beaten some solid b-level opponents.

Phill. Who has the better resume?

Yeah, despite beating guys like Judah, Kotelnik, Malignaggi and Maidana, having the extremely close and controversial loss to Peterson along with the knockout to Garcia 'makes him exposed'.

There will always be a new guy, a better guy. Not everyone is Mayweather and can continue an undefeated streak, moron.

Along with Bute. He came off an easy win vs. Johnson, who Froch had a competitive fight against. Just because he got knocked out does not mean he became exposed.

Khan has beaten some pretty damn god fighters last time I checked. I dont like Bute but why are people writing him off?

  6. Yeah he got exposed as having a glass chin, the boy can't hold a shot to save his life, his legs are gone, Jim

    His legs are gone

Oh and p. s. If that new, better guy is a plodding, mid range hooker like Garcia it means you really aren't much cop at all

Is this serious? Bute has lost 1 fight to the #2 SMW in the world. It's not even a fact taht he is overrated.

Bute and it is not even debatable. Khan's wins over Judah and Maidana eclipse anything Bute has done by a mile. We already knew Khan had speed but no chin, guys were acting like Bute could beat pound for pound ranked Ward, though. Then again a lot of those guys were Joe Cal fans, so you have to take that into consideration.

Yes, and in Nottingham. I wonder if Andre Ward would accept a fight there against the Cobra.

khan was by far because he believed his own bull**** and has been found out more then once and was very lucky to win some of his fights

in Bute's case i think he just really underestimated Froch and paid the price

Khan's status is based more from his popularity and getting unexpectedly knocked out than his boxing ability. His hype being justified by fighting B/C level opponents is a ridiculous assumption. Their records are both as bad as eachothers.

    Bute.

Khan at the very least beat guys like Maidana, Bute never beat anyone and was hailed to be the king. :rofl

    His fans dont know anything.
