It's 2 press-ups a minute when you break it down, and I'm talking over a 12 hour period. If it was 18 hours you could get away with about 3 every two minutes unless my maths is ****.

I'd like to know what time frame this was in but yeah it's good he kept in good shape, never expected him not to to be honest.

Doing 1,500 pushups a day is not very common at all. The average guy would struggle to do 20 pushups.

Yea I went on a stretch where I did a thousand a day, 20 sets of 50 and eventually got up to 100 a set doing 10 sets, it does take hard work, dedication...

lol you guys know nothing about conditioning. That would way over train your body if you could even do 1500 a day 2 days in a row. No doubt floyd works his ass off but don't put up silly #'s like that.

You' re right about the average Joe. But as far as athletes and your fitness types it's not that far out there. It's good he kept his body strong, and not by using weights.. He looked fit..

I'm sure he was doing some sort of cardio in between sets, maybe jumping jacks..

1500 push-ups a day were just a small part of Hurricane Carter's famous prison training regimen. Included was over a thousand sit-ups and pull-ups and yard sprints daily. This didn't even include his boxing workout, this was just calisthenics.

Likewise, James (Superman) Scott's and Dwight Braxton's (aka Qawi) prison training was near super-human.

Do you know how good in shape Floyd is. If you look at his training camp you'd think it's over training
