I've never heard of Cordoba or Poonsawat call out anyone, doesn't mean they'd pass on an offer. It's not like they got more to lose than Marroquin.

Of course everyone's calling out Donaire, he's the biggest name below 135. Now he has to answer Rigo's challenge cause the 10 fight champ can't get a decent fight. Donaire paid his dues to get there, Rigo's looking for a shortcut, no problem with that. But lets just seem him once perform well against a guy more legit than Ramos, it's not to much to ask for if he's supposed to be gunning for the main guy.

I don't particularly understand the idea that Rigondeaux needs to find a better opponent than Ramos while Donaire deserves praise for "unifying." And I reject the idea that Donaire is the biggest name below lightweight, as his numbers certainly don't suggest so.

Donaire vs Nishioka will be a good fight, Rigo can wait, he only fought 10 times  and Donaire has fought way better opposition than Rigo.

Donaire was once in that position and Darchynian had the balls to give him a fight depsite the boxing world not even calling for the fight like they are with this one!! Donaire got his shot at Darchynian by beating dues that are nowhere near as good as Cordoba and Ramos. Rigo is without a doubt the most in demmand opponent for Donaire, don't deny it, no one, not you, not anyone here was making a case and hyping up a fight with Nishioka. Nishioka's a good opponent and one Donaire deserves credit for beating but if he moves up and doesn't fight Rigo next then he's being a ***** and deserves criticism.

Nishioka is not in rigo league even if nish was in his prime? Only a knuckle head would think like that. This amatuer stuff is far different then in the pros. Look yes donaire wanted to fight arce and who wouldnt? An arce fights brings more exposure for donaire and an arce fight brings more money. If rigo was ranked top 3 p4p and he was offer a arce fight? You wouldnt think he would have fought arce instead of donaire? And who's everyone that ppl want to see donaire fight rigo? Cuban biased fans? Damn rigo is really becoming overrated here.

The guys u talking about Cord, Ramos are not better then Matha and Nish i mean lets cut that sh$t out. Rigo has 10 or 11 freaking wins. <<Let him proof himself by beating better fighters.

Really, you think beating a 0 defense prospect-champ qualifies you for p4p fights? What's your problem with Arce Donaire then? At least we know he'll throw back even if dropped with a jab.

So who's the bigger name? Where is Donaire in the name rankings below 135?

speed king might be the favorite based on his accomplishments at the weight. but of course, the p4p guy would be the betting favorite.

He wasn't in that position, he had no hype about him, was supposed to be a routine defense for Vic.

Where do you see this huge demand for the Rigo fight? Certainly not at the gate, Arce does better there. There's a couple of dozen posters screaming for it, that's not huge demand.

  15. That fact that he is fighting Nishioka is not the problem. I think people recongnize nishioka is a credible opponent and is accomplished at the weight and a good fighter. I think the problem is that people claim Donaire is ducking Rigo yet he does not want address that.

Regardless if you are one of the people who think Rigondeaux is not deserving of the fight, it is a fight the people want to see nonetheless. If i start i poll of which opponent people want to see Doanrie fight i guarantee you it will be Rigondeaux by a landslide here on ESB.

Doanire could easily shut those critics up who claim he is ducking, and there are alot of them, by simply fighting Rigondeaux. But the fact is that he has gone out of his way to discredit Rigondeaux, saying he would rather watch basketball play offs than Rigondeaux. He has said Rigondeaux is a boring fighter, when infact Rigondeaux is coming of a string of KO's while Donaires last few have been anything but exciting or displays of great boxing.

In conclusion, instead of Donaire taking the initiative to shut the critics up once and for all he fights others. They claim he is ducking because he is not fighting Rigondeaux. At the end of the day, it is true, he is not fighting Rigondeaux.
